About me
Having been re-elected in May 2021 I am looking forward to helping residents with their problems. I am delighted to also represent the town of Worthing as Deputy Mayor in 2021-22 and Mayor in 2022-23. I will be aiming to give a "leg up" for as many local charities as possible and also support local businesses with some well-earned publicity. I volunteer as a pastoral worker in my local community tackling loneliness and the need for practical support, and like many others, helped out during the pandemic with shopping and medicine deliveries for residents who were shielding. I am currently a COVID-19 Vaccine Administrator working for Sussex Community Foundation NHS Trust, a Director of High Salvington Mill Trust, and I also sit on the council of a local wildlife organisation, responsible for organising field outings to some of our wonderful downland and coastal wildlife sites. Whenever I can I spend time with my grandchildren or you may come across me walking with my dog Harry!
My priorities for Salvington Ward
- Assisting local residents
- Building Worthing back better following the pandemic, including a proper A27 bypass
- Resisting inappropriate developments
- Protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of our open spaces
- Achieving a carbon-neutral Worthing by 2030
