Cllr. Jane Sim

Durrington Ward Councillor

A bit about Jane

For the past four years I have had the privilege to serve as your Conservative Councillor. I am a member of the Joint Overview and Scrutiny and Licensing Committees and sit on the working groups for Cultural Services, Recycling and the Local Plan. I volunteer locally for the Samaritan Shop and I am a member of the Durrington Community Centre Committee. I put the well-being of people at the forefront of everything I do; for example overseeing planning applications within Durrington, vetting potential taxi drivers and licence premises' applications.

Jane's priorities for Durrington Ward:

  • Robust and prudent management of the Council's finances to deliver value for money.
  • Preservation and improvement of open spaces and environmental conservation.
  • Using my best judgement to vote on policies that make a measurable improvement to residents' lives.
  • Making sure we do our fair share to combat climate change.
