Worthing continues to be let down by Labour as recycling rates fall.

Despite being elected on a promise to improve recycling rates in the town, the latest figures, published by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, show that recycling rates under the Labour run Worthing Borough Council have fallen backwards from 43.6% to 41.8%, fast approaching a 5% fall.

Cllr Kevin Jenkins said, "This is just another example of where the Labour administration have failed to deliver on their pledges, the rate of recycling was on an upward trend and should be nearer 47/48 % this year alone. Again we can all see they have taken their eye of the ball and their lack of leadership and due diligence to delivery the core services that this town rightly deserves."
